Presentation of the only media production software worldwide with integrated project management and financing

Well equipped for the changed film market

LineProducer is the first specialized financing software for film and TV. The developers, located at the film sight Babelsberg, were concerned with creating a tool, which does justice to the requirements of a changed media market. It had to be a cross-border tool, easy to handle and extremely flexible. Most of all, LineProducer promises to facilitate the cooperation in international co-productions. „It is getting more and more important to plan, coordinate and control complex financing scenarios, especially under time pressure.“ says producer Mathias Schwerbrock. For the first time LineProducer offers a holistic approach to all these needs, encompassing project management, budgeting, financing and controlling. The new operating concept helps the user to quickly understand the software and to adapt it to his personal needs. The users of LineProducer are not bound to rigid operating norms, as is the case with alternative software solutions. This makes it possible to handle all types of media and production.

For this interdisciplinary project it was necessary to connect partners from the media industry and IT-engineering, like Technical University Graz, Erich Pommer Institute, HFF-Babelsberg, Nimblo Software Development OG, ITA Media GmbH and independent production companies and line producers. The development of the software, which began in 2007, will officially be complete on May 13th, 2010 at the Cannes Film Market.
